The PerformCzech Advisory Council is an advisory body of the ATI’s Department of International Cooperation, the main aim of which is to promote and present contemporary Czech performing arts internationally.

The work of the council includes

  • providing consultation on strategy and forms of cooperation towards the promotion of Czech theatre and arts abroad,commenting on promotional materials devoted to Czech theatre, dance, and contemporary circus published by the ATI,
  • selecting and recommending Czech theatres and their productions and projects for inclusion in events abroad and in the Czech Republic,
  • consulting on projects, presentations, events, study stays, exchanges, residencies, conferences, and other international cooperative projects in which the ATI is involved or is invited to participate in.

Hana Strejčková

Hana Strejčková is a theatre director, choreographer, dramaturg, performer, poet and university lecturer. 

She studied dramaturgy and directing at the Department of Dramatic Theatre at  DAMU, and continued her studies at École internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, where she also graduated from Pascale Lecoq’s stage design studio. She completed the three stages of training in Meyerhold’s Biomechanics at the Centro Internazionale Studi di Biomeccanica Teatrale in Italy. She obtained her teaching qualifications as a graduate of the Creative Pedagogy programme at DAMU’s Department of Authorial Creativity and Pedagogy. During her doctoral studies at the Department of Nonverbal Theatre at HAMU, she was awarded the prestigious Excellent scholarship. She publishes in Czech and international journals, contributes to collective monographs, speaks at international conferences, leads theatre master classes and participates in the Theatre Institute’s ongoing research into contemporary physical theatre. She collaborates with the National Theatre – Laterna Magika, contributes to the dramaturgy for the international MimeFest in Polička, lectures in the Department of Nonverbal Theatre at HAMU and is the artistic director of the FysioART ensemble. She is a member of the Association of Theatre Lecturers, the Czech ASSITEJ Centre and the committee of the Czech AICT centre.

Kateřina Rathouská

Kateřina Rathouská is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. She works as a creative producer at Czech Radio. She is also chairwoman of the Thalia Awards jury for alternative theatre.

Lenka Dombrovská

Curator, dramaturg and columnist. Previously, she ran a critical column in Divadelní noviny and published reviews, for example, in Lidové noviny or the magazine Svět a divadlo, she is also the editor of several books. Since the 2018/2019 season, she has been working as a program curator at Komedie Festival, where, in addition to exhibitions, debates and concerts, the international Nová Komedie festival is artistically directed by her. Since 2018, she has been the editor-in-chief of the magazine Moderní divadlo. For ten years, she has led the alternative festival příští vlna/next wave, which was awarded in 2024 by the Czech Theatre DNA for its extraordinary long-term contribution, development and support of new theatre and live culture. In 2023, she was the president of the jury of the Theatre Photography competition.

Barbara Gregorová

She is a Czech theatre dramaturg, member of the Scandinavian House, co-author of several books and editor. She works as dramaturg at National Thatre Brno and chief dramaturge of Theatre World Brno. She studied dramaturgy at  Theatre Faculty at Janáček Academy of Performing Arts and Nordic studies at Masaryk University.

Barbora Kalinová

Graduate of the Production Department of Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Since 2010, she worked as a production and then director of Damúza Studio. As an executive producer, she further collaborated with Spitfire Company and Vosto5. In 2015, she joined Drak Theatre as PR manager, and since 2020 she has been working here as head of production and marketing. He participates in the creation of educational and exhibition activities of the Drak Theatre, international projects, conferences and the dramaturgy of the REGIONY International Theatre Festival Hradec Králové.

Markéta Perroud

Markéta Perroud is a cultural manager and respected dancer with an international career. A graduate of the Prague Dance Conservatoire, she holds the French State Diploma for Dance Pedagogy and also completed a one-year programme in arts management in Lyon. Since 2010, she has worked with Tanec Praha as a member of the artistic board, becoming co-director of the international TANEC PRAHA festival in 2012. In the same year, she relocated from France to Prague. In 2015, she was awarded the insignia of Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Literature for her contribution to developing French-Czech relations. Since 2015, she has been involved in the artistic running of the entire Tanec Praha organisation, alongside its founder and director, Yvona Kreuzmannová, entrusted her with the independent artistic management of one of the organisation’s main activities, PONCE - The Dance Space. Thanks to her rich experience from abroad, she makes a strong contribution to expanding the connections between the Czech and international dance scenes.

Tomáš Kubart

He studied theatre studies at Masaryk University, published several studies on the topic of Viennese actionism (Theatralia, Arte Acta, Acta Universitatis Carolinae), participated in the publication of the Czech surrealistic drama (published by Academia, 2023), edited a special issue of Dance Zone, dedicated to the work of Hermann Nitsch (2023). Since 2019, he has been working in the Department of 20th Century and Contemporary Literature at the Institute for Czech Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. He lectures externally at Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Palacký University Olomouc and SLU Opava. He deals with performativity, action art, Viennese actionism, contemporary German-language drama and scenography. He is the secretary of the Theatre Society and the editor of Dance Zone website.

Kateřina Dolenská

A theatre researcher and cultural journalist and a graduate of Charles University’s Faculty of Arts and DAMU, Kateřina specialises in puppet theatre. Since 2006, she has worked in the editorial office of  Puppeteer (Loutkář) magazine and has served as editor-in-chief since 2015. Simultaneously, she is an assistant professor in the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU, where she lectures on the theory and history of puppet theatre. She also collaborates closely with the Research Institute of Alternative and Puppet Theatre and Theatre in Special Needs Groups at DAMU. She sits on many commissions and juries, contributes to ongoing research projects at IDU, and publishes in academic journals and collections at home and abroad. She is a committee member for the Czech UNIMA Centre and a member of the executive for UNIMA International.

Daniela Jirmanová

She studied theatre studies at Charles University’s Faculty of Arts. After moving from Prague to Ostrava, she worked as a dramaturg at Petr Bezruč Theatre(2004/2005, 2012–2016) and then at Puppet Theatre Ostrava (2017–2020). She was the dramaturg of the international puppet festival Spectaculo Interesse and the external dramaturg of the international festival of puppet and alternative theatre Skupova Plzeň. Since 2020, she has been working at the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre as the head of the Theatre Education Studio. She is a member of the Czech center UNIMA and the Association of Theatre Lecturers.

Lucie Hayashi

Lucie Hayashi, PhD, completed her doctoral studies in Dance Science at HAMU and Japanese studies at Charles University’s Faculty of Arts. The founder of Taneční aktuality, she was the organisation’s managing director, and, subsequently, director of the organisation and served as editor-in-chief until 2018. She works as assistant director of Opera at the National Theatre in Prague and is Head of the Department of Dance at HAMU. She is a board member of the Association of Dance Artists of the Czech Republic, a member of the dramaturgical board of the Czech Dance Platform and Institute of Intermedia and a member of the grant commission for the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic in the field of professional dance and non-verbal theatre – festivals, the field of international collaboration and European capitals of culture. In addition to dance journalism, PR and production activities, she carries out anthropological research on Japanese dance and cultural policy in dance, regularly speaking at international conferences and publishing academic studies. As a choreographer, she collaborates on productions of Japanese theatre; she also lectures on Japanese dance and theatre and teaches the basics of dance management and production.

Adriana Světlíková

Director of Nová síť (New Network), service organization for culture. She works as a consultant, lecturer and mediator in the field of live art, co-initiated the Czech Theater DNA awards, the Culture Get-Together conference, a program to support residential creative stays within the V4 countries, the Czech Dance Showcase Edinburgh and many others. She is a member of cultural grant commissions. A graduate of Charles University’s Faculty of Arts (Cultural Studies), she led the theatre NABLÍZKO, where, among other things, she was at the birth of the first shadow interpretations into sign language. She participated in several European cultural projects. In 2021, together with Petr Pola, she won the Divadelní noviny award for the realization of the 19th online and offline Malá Inventura Festival. Her main field of interest is networking within the Czech regions and changing the social climate through culture.

Josef Bartoš

A graduate of the Duncan Center Conservatory, a doctoral program in dance science at Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, and a master's degree in psychology at Charles University’s Faculty of Arts. He participated in a study internship at the José Limón Institute in New York and dance festivals in Holland, Hungary, Germany and Japan. As a performer, he collaborated with Czech and foreign choreographers. He also taught at the Duncan Center Conservatory and the Prague Dance Conservatory. He is a member of the expert commission for the field of professional dance at the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Czech Academy of Theater Artists, the Association of Czech Theater Critics and the Dance Studies Association. In his scientific-research activity, he focuses on the psychological aspects of dance art.
He has been contributing his texts to Czech Dance News since November 2012. In 2015, he became an internal member of the editorial staff, mainly responsible for PR communication, marketing and fundraising. Since 2018, he has been the editor-in-chief of the magazine.

Barbora Etlíková

A theatre critic, Barbora currently works primarily for the blog Podhoubí, which she founded. She also enjoys publishing in other magazines and sections dealing with art and culture and co-organizes public critical courses Let's talk about theater for the National Theatre in Prague. She graduated from the Department of Theory and Criticism at DAMU, where she also earned her doctorate, defending a thesis titled The Challenges of Contemporary Czech Theatre Criticism (Výzvy současné české divadelní kritiky). She is currently a guest lecturer for DAMU’s Critical Seminar for directing and dramaturgy students in the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre.
